Noby in Japanese means “Stretch,” and this is exactly what this game focuses on. The basic idea of this game is to noby (stretch) a worm like creature known simply as “Boy” as much as possible without it breaking.
You control a caterpillar looking quadrupedal character that forms the central part of the gameplay. Using the left analogue stick, you take complete control of the front of Boy and stretch its body to an unlimited length, while the rear body can be controlled through the right analogue stick. You can maneuver Boy around floating squares, give rides to people and animals, and interact with them, or even flap his legs so he can fly.
There is another character known as “Girl” from another galaxy whose aim is to link creatures from all planets in friendship and love. By submitting Boy’s stretching points to Girl, she will stretch according to the points on her way to another world. Within 4-5 days after the release of this game, Girl reached the moon. This just goes to show the popularity of this fascinating and enjoyable game. After Girl reached the moon, players could choose to play on either Earth or Moon, with different creatures and lighter gravity. Such is the popularity of this game, that even after reaching the Moon, Girl is still stretching and is on her way to Mars which will unlock new environments for Boy to play in.
There is absolutely no pressure in this game. There is nothing to win or lose, except that the Boy could be cut in half (which can again be joined by eating your other half). This game is a good way to unwind, and will captivate you in a different way each time you play it. The developer has also confirmed an iPhone OS release for the game.
